Inauguration of Guru Bhagwat Tungi, Sai Ka Aangan, Gurugram

On February 25, 2024, Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Ji inaugurated the newly constructed Guru Bhagwat Tungi within the premises of Sai Ka Aagan in Gurgaon, Haryana. The term "Tungi" traditionally denotes a space in Odisha where diverse religious, cultural, and literary dialogues and performances have flourished since ancient times.

The inauguration of Shri Guru Bhagwat Tungi began with traditional worship ceremonies led by pundits. Dr. Satpathy Ji conducted the customary Hawan and Puja rituals. Devotees from diverse cultures and linguistic backgrounds came together for the occasion, reciting the Shri Guru Bhagwat Prarthana (prayer) in Odia language, showcasing the widespread reverence for Shri Guru Bhagwat, its author, and the Odia language. More than 250 devotees from different states of India and abroad gathered to witness this significant ceremony.

It's notable to highlight the remarkable contributions of Dr. Satpathy, an author with an impressive repertoire of over 68 books in Hindi, English, and Odia languages. Among his works, "Shri Guru Bhagwat," available in 18 different languages including English, stands out. The book sheds light on various aspects of the Guru Tradition throughout ancient times, encompassing all religions, creeds, sects, and paramparas without focusing on any specific Guru. Originally composed in Odia using the unique Nabakshri poetic meter, "Shri Guru Bhagwat" spans approximately 34,000 lines across eight volumes. Additionally, ongoing translations are bringing the text to a wider audience, with versions in German and Chinese currently in progress.
